Gail Anderson "Writing For Designers" Poster

For this Typography II project, my classmates and I were each assigned a different professional designer based on our individual styles as developing designers. We were then asked to create posters advertising a lecture hosted by that designer in a way that was visually indicative of that designer’s work. I was assigned Gail Anderson, the senior art director of Rolling Stone Magazine. In my research, I found that Anderson's work tends to be colorful and dynamic with bold typography. I drew on those aesthetic qualities to design my poster, and continually referred back to her catalog and thoughts on design as I worked.
